We are a British premium watch company inspired by the maritime heritage of the British Isles. To ensure the highest level of quality, manufacturing of our timepieces takes place in the heart of Switzerland in Tavannes and La Chaux-de-Fonds. Both of which have some of the most established watch making traditions in the world. This is where the design, innovation and technical expertise converge to produce exclusively limited release Rohtfire Sablier timepieces every year at an excellent value proposition.

Our Commitment
Our brand compass always points towards delivering high quality, functional and robust watches. We pledge to use only the best materials to produce extremely high quality timepieces which creates unique value for our customers. For this reason at Rohtfire Sablier we have decided that all of our watches will be Swiss made to ensure that they meet not only the highest standards, but also to reassure the customer that they will be investigating in quality craftsmanship that will stand the test of time.
Swiss Engineering
Once we have completed the design phase of our timepieces, we work very closely with our Swiss partners at Roventa Henex to move into the very important part of developing Rohtfire Sablier watches. Drawing on the expertise of Swiss watchmakers, we finalise the design to ensure the highest specifications can be achieved. Specialists then closely monitor every aspect of production of every component during the manufacturing process to ensure the highest quality.
Prototype
During the design and development stage we ensure we get the ergonomics of the case perfected. We do this through using state of the art 3D printing. This enables us to refine and validate our design processes providing real time feedback on how it looks and feels.
Manufacturing
All of our timepieces are manufactured using the most sophisticated equipment before being assembled by hand in Switzerland. This guarantees that our products comply with strict regulations that govern the manufacture of high quality timepieces. This allows all of our timepieces to wear the ‘Swiss Made’ prestige badge of honour on all of our dials.
Quality Testing
Each and every one of our timepieces goes through strict quality control and testing to ensure that there are no defects. This includes water resistance pressure tests followed by a condensation test. Every aspect of the case, dial and hands are then checked and verified.
Each watch is composed of over one hundred components. A professional team of experts classify and inspect every part according to our exacting requirements before being put through to assembly. This level of testing requires an extremely high level of skill, craftsmanship and passion. This is why we have chosen to work with long established watchmaking professionals in Switzerland, because they share our passion for horology and quality.
Sustainable Development
Rohtfire Sablier timepieces meet the strict criteria of Swiss fine watchmaking, and their manufacturing conditions are in line with the principles of sustainable development. Our commitment to environmental and social responsibility is one of the key elements in the brand’s development strategy. As part of our values and love for the natural world and health of our seas our next step to protecting the environment will to help reduce plastic pollution in our oceans. We will do this through our business environmental policy to reduce plastic waste, seeking charitable partnerships and by producing watch accessories such as watch straps made from plastics re-cycled from fishing nets dumped in the sea.
Environment
At Rohtfire Sablier we are passionate about the environment so we have partnered with JUST ONE Tree. For every timepiece that is sold, we plant a tree, providing a legacy of benefits to our global environment and contributing to combat climate change. JUST ONE Tree is a non-profit initiative removing CO2 from the atmosphere and reversing biodiversity loss through global reforestation. They plant trees in areas severely affected by deforestation to maximise the effect on reducing global warming. In the process they help to provide agricultural education and sustainable incomes to local communities.
But they don’t stop there. JUST ONE Tree concentrates on restoring the entire ecosystem by planting on land and in the oceans, and they also focus on helping to shape the next generation of planet-conscious thinkers by bringing environmental education into the classrooms with lesson plans and JUST ONE Tree Day. JUST ONE Tree work with the CLIMATE FOUNDATION, an organisation helping to regenerate Kelp forests in our oceans. So in addition to planting a tree we are at the same time contributing to ocean biodiversity through the Foundation.
Why Kelp? Well kelp is the fastest growing ‘tree’ on the planet. Like land-based trees, kelp absorbs CO2 in order to grow and is therefore an enormous ‘Blue Carbon’ sink. By taking carbon dioxide out of the oceans, kelp forests help lower the acidity in the seas and the amount of CO2 in our atmosphere. As well as being ‘Blue Carbon’ sinks, kelp forests are one of the ocean’s most diverse eco-systems. Many fish species use kelp forests as nurseries for their young, while marine mammals like sea lions, sea otters and even grey whales use them as shelter from predators and storms. Large predatory species, such as sharks, are known to hunt in the long corridors that form in the forests.

Hi, my name is Jonathan and I just want to say thank you for taking the time to visit us here at Rohtfire Sablier.
Our launch model and indeed our design principles deliberately appeal to people who appreciates detail, engineering and the mystery of the intricate parts that go into making a mechanical timepiece. I personally still marvel at the ingenuity of our ability to solve the extremely complex problem of recording time. Our watches are classically designed and enhanced with a new and unique contemporary feel. By keeping the design and development of our brand within the UK and manufacturing processes in Switzerland allows us to execute our vision of haute horology at a value proposition. This far exceeds the price point without compromising on product quality, design, elegant packaging or most importantly our efficient and personal customer service.
Our uncompromising standards of craftsmanship and use of high quality materials, are values that have been developed through the creation of Rohtfire Sablier.
When you choose one of our timepieces, you never have to choose between functionality, robustness and style. They are all elegant, refined and extremely precise.
The name ‘ROHTFIRE’ has no direct translation. You will define your own meaning, for me however it represents a passion for quality horology, a passion for life, adventure and of course a passion for our environment. Whether it be protecting it or enjoying the challenges the natural world presents us through land, air and sea.
